During my recent business trip to the Cott Inn in Dartington, I was pleasantly surprised by the charm and character that this historic gastropub offers. The warm hospitality of the staff stood out immediately, especially from Poppy, who made our breakfast experience delightful with her friendly banter and local recommendations. The seasonal menu was impressive, showcasing locally sourced produce; I indulged in the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, which was simply exquisite-an authentic taste of Devon. The rooms were a haven of comfort, with superking beds and a peaceful atmosphere that allowed for restful nights, even with the windows open. The location is serene, surrounded by picturesque gardens that invite you to unwind after a long day of meetings. Not to mention the lively live music on Sundays adds a unique vibrant touch to the evenings. For anyone traveling to Dartington, whether for business or to explore the beautiful South Devon coastline, I highly recommend this gem.
